What are our current Projects?

Save Our Schools programs start in the roots, the elementary schools, and grow to the branches, the high schools.

#1. Computers in every classroom. Computers are a great motivating and educational tool. Students are eager to improve their reading and writing skills so they can better use the computers, which in turn are great tools for improving math, science and social study skills. We provide laptops for school teachers and school psychologists

#2. Books for every student. Reading is the core skill all other skills grow from. Every child deserves to have his or her own reading, math and science books to study from. They also need leisure books so they will learn the joy of reading during the holiday and summer breaks. We provide National Geographic Explorers and Weekly Reader Magazines

#3. Musical instruments, art supplies and field trips. Tests have proven that when a child learns music he has a better understanding of math skills. Art encourages the imagination, which helps in the understanding of science. Field trips show children the real world and help to create their dreams for their future careers. We provide Junior Achievements Exchange City field trips.

Our current project is in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. We have succeeded in donating enough computers, software, and other computer supplies for their to be a computer in each classroom in Tyler Heights Elementary School in Annapolis, MD.

In 2001 we will be branching to other elementary schools in the county while still supporting Tyler Heights in its goal to become a Blue Ribbon school. After we have helped every elementary school in Anne Arundel County, we will move to help the middle schools and start to form new chapters in Prince George's County, Baltimore and Washington DC.
